Desktop File Titled: Jan 5

I figured I’d post this file. It’s been sitting on my desktop for over a week…Not sure what day what was read and what was said.

It’s been an interesting week around this town. A member of the community died last weekend. He was a frequent enough customer, given that his family lives just up the hill. I’ve met most of them, uncles, cousins, brothers, aunts, sisters, friends. They’ve all been by. So it’s rather fascinating, perhaps morbidly so, to have to switch from sorrow to joy dependent on customers. So a friend of the deceased will come in dazed and glossy eyed express a few words of sorrow and slump away. and the next customer is high on a cloud chatterbox who never buys anything, but asks weird questions about the community…because she’s new here…yeah. She’s nice enough.

For me it’s been a rather interesting rollercoaster of emotions, that have yet to form themselves in anything reasonably rational language. I suppose a mix of pity, sorrow, and pleasure.

I’ve been reading a few articles from the Reality Sandwich lately. It’s an interesting site with a kind of self-deprecating narcissistic quality. All high and mighty on a pile of poop so to speak. Which is quite in line with my own manner of thinking…or perhaps typing.

For instance I type, quite differently from how I speak. a bit more pomp and verbose….just a bit. Quite frankly I’d say it was for ironies sake and the coincidence that Alanis Morrissette never figured it out. Maybe it’s to feed my insatiable self-esteem? Perhaps its an alter ego that only emerges in verse?

I also read two interesting articles from Reality Sandwich.

Beyond the Anguish of Impossibility

“We must begin by recognizing that reality itself is an infinite process of enfoldment and unfoldment of an unknowable implicate order, a la David Bohm. It is impossible to put limits on that order or its potential. Therefore, impossibility is itself impossible to assert, except as an empirical observation. The unfoldment process does tend to demonstrate archetypal moments, or folds. Each fold reveals a deeper dimension of the Real. The folds, or pleats, must be linked together in consciousness to unveil the hidden pattern of the implicate order that the phenomenal plane can only at best symbolize to the very consciousness that is being observed, in yet another incident of impossibility.”

That reminds me of Henry David Thoreau and his love affair with Louisa May Alcott?.

Love Scene from Waking Life
http://video.google.com/googleplayer.swf?docid=368363424688672759&hl=en&fs=true

Which for some reason reminds me of Aleister Crowley & Pauline Pierce and the story of Barbara Bush’s conception.

Love is quite an impossible game. And we will forever keep trying to win it. “What is love? Baby Don’t hurt me, no more” Fascinating response, eh?

Quietism & Existentialism

“Give up all concepts, all attempts to grasp, to control, to master. Renounce even the saintly self that is willing to renounce it all. Realize compleat Emptiness. This is the unfoldment of the final pleat, the attainment of the Impossible: the Dreamer of the Dream.”

Once you attain the impossibility, I find an easy slide back to hatred of impossibility. Maintaining impossibility is, impossible.

Dynamic Paradoxicalism: The Anti-ism ism

“Bohr posited that opposites were two different aspects of a higher unity existing just beyond our limited perceptual apparatus.”

This reminds me of the internet. And it’s physical and/or metaphysical location.

“Dynamic paradoxicalism is a philosophy best suited for those who are grounded in a strong, Warrior stance.”

that Warrior again. Also I came across a Dragon song by Tori Amos…that was way too close for comfort. “Don’t tell me a woman did this to you. Candy lies.”

Sugar-coated tricks slip through those pierced lips.

Maybe that’s why I dislike being called Candy.

I’ve had this Relativism vs Absolutism argument with Herbsta several times before. I being the Relativist, he being the Absolutist.

“The relativist is the inverted version of an absolutist. The relativist does not believe in absolute truths — has an absolute disbelief in absolutes — and finds that everything is relative to a point of view, and that most points of view are culturally determined and highly unreliable. But a relativist is also a self-deceiving absolutist, as they have an absolute belief in relativism. The most classic statement repeated by relativists — whether they know themselves to be relativists or not — is, “Don’t be judgmental.” But notice that this statement is perfect in its self-contradiction, as it is in itself a judgment, and ranks nonjudgmental people as more correct than judgmental people. In philosophy this is called “an error of performance:” you contradict your assertion even as you make it.”

Some that may appear to be good can be evil, by there understanding of the game.

The world is an illusion and a reality. It is at the same time happening and not happening. All of the world has gone insane. The “elite” have gone insane. Centuries of philosophers have been driven insane pondering the concepts of what the game is and who is running it, what piece we are. Those who tried to understand it via material wealth, have gone insane. The Scientists have gone insane. The Mathematicians have gone insane. The Everyman has gone insane. In in this realm the conspiracy is that there is a conspiracy, when in reality/falsehood everyone is bluffing.

That’s not to say some levels of the reality can be classified as real. I really feel the wind and the sun against my body. I’ve “felt” all manners of emotions. But those recognizing the game have an ability to manipulate the game to fit their desires. In any variety of emanations. From wretched to divine.
